Where Midnight Grove Studio Began

Midnight Grove Studio started as a side project between two industrial designers who kept getting asked the same question by fellow makers: "Where did you get that file?" We were spending our evenings modeling 3D-print-ready parts and cutting clean 2D vector patterns for our own workshop projects, and sharing them informally with a small circle of hobbyists in Portland. When that circle outgrew our email inbox, we decided to build a proper storefront around it.

Today, Midnight Grove Studio is a digital design marketplace focused entirely on downloadable files — no physical inventory, no warehouse, no waiting on a truck. Every file in our catalog, from laser-cut templates to 3D-printable enclosures and illustrative vector packs, is designed, tested, and proofed in-house before it goes live. We build for makers who need a file that actually works the first time: correct tolerances, clean topology, and formats that open without a fight.

We're a small, deliberately lean team. That means every product listing is something one of us has personally modeled, sliced, printed, or plotted — not sourced from a stock library and relabeled. If a file doesn't hold up on our own printers and cutters, it doesn't make it into the shop.

Midnight Grove Studio is operated by Cobalt Peak Holdings LLC, based in Portland, Oregon. We're proud to be part of the Pacific Northwest's maker and fabrication community, and we build every file with the same workshop standards we'd want for our own projects.
